2023 Shurtape Employee Safety Slogan Contest

Eligibility:

The 2023 Shurtape Employee Safety Slogan Contest (the “Contest”) is open to individuals who are employed by Shurtape Technologies, LLC (“Employee(s)”) located in the United States. Void where prohibited. The general public, independent contractors, consultants, or employees of third party temporary or employment agencies are not eligible.

How to Participate:

Develop a quick-hitting, engaging and memorable slogan promoting and reinforcing Shurtape’s culture of safety for all employees (“Entry”).

Entries may be submitted online by completing the entry form located at https://selfserve.decipherinc.com/survey/selfserve/3182/230601 or by completing a paper hard copy of the entry form that can be found and submitted at the locations noted below during the Entry Period detailed below.

All entries must be (1) original to the Employee and may not copy or otherwise leverage any copyrighted materials (logos, lyrics, slogans, trademarks, or other intellectual property not owned by Employee or Shurtape), and (2) keep with Shurtape’s image and corporate branding and may not be offensive, nor can it defame or invade upon the publicity rights or privacy of any person.

Contest Period:

June 12, 2023 – July 28, 2023

Entry Period:

June 12, 2023 – June 26, 2023

Judging Period:

June 27, 2023 – July 14, 2023

Winner Selection:

Between June 27, 2023, and July 14, 2023, all Employee Entries will be anonymously judged by a panel of judges based on the criteria noted below. The top scoring Entry from each plant will be selected as a finalist. All Entries selected as finalists will be anonymously judged a second time based on the criteria noted below and the highest scoring Entry will be selected as the grand prize winner. Winners to be announced no later than July 28, 2023.

• Alignment with Shurtape Corporate Brand (20%)

Prizes:

• Finalist Prizes – The Employees whose Entries are selected as finalists from each plant will receive a $50 Visa® Gift Card for a total of 14 prizes awarded
• Grand Prize – The Employee who Entry is selected as the winner will receive a $200 Visa® Gift Card
• Total average retail value (ARV) for all prizes – $900.00 USD

*Satellite offices/fully remote employees will be judged within the facility they are tied to

Grant of License:

By entering the Contest, Employee grants Shurtape, its agents, subsidiaries and affiliates (the “Licensees”) a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable right to exercise the copyright, publicity, database rights and any other rights Employee has in the Entry, in any media now known or hereafter devised (including without limitation, the internet), without any compensation. Further, by entering the Contest, Employee grants Licensees the additional license to modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, and distribute the Entry (with the understanding that Licensees are under no obligation to do so), or incorporate the Entry into any form, medium or technology, including the right, at each Licensee’s sole discretion, to publish the Entry and to use the Entry for advertising and promotional purposes. Licensees shall not be required to designate Employee as the creator or author of Entry that is distributed or otherwise exploited by Licensees, or include any references to Employee on, or in connection with, any Entry that is distributed or otherwise exploited by Licensees.

All federal, state and local taxes and any other related costs are the sole responsibility of the Employee. Please allow 3-6 weeks for delivery of prizes.

Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these rules and the decisions of judges and Shurtape, which are final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity of the rules. Shurtape reserves the right to cancel this Contest at any time, and is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, incorrect, or ineligible requests.
